Re: Organizing challenges
I agree that using upcoming.org is a good idea. Whatever route you choose to go, if you need any help maintaining things, I'll gladly offer some of my time.

My suggestion is to have people offer their email address up for any challenge. Those creating challenges would spam the whole list and anyone not wanting to participate would simply not accept the challenge.
Yeah, that's pretty much the exact idea. I'll put the sticky threads up tonight after work. I just want a system where people can add and remove themselves easily and not necessarily have a public list of email addresses that spam bots could pick up.

Re: Organizing challenges
I've gotten a few "vapor challenges" too..Thankd for voluneering to help out..
I emailed nikeplus about the challenge problem and got a generic email response..oh well..
I'm okay with having my email out there..I get so much spam as it is (I've had the same address for 10 years) that it really doesn't matter to me. I guess if people really wanted to...you could get a special forwarded gmail address just for your nike challenge...

Re: Organizing challenges
Ok, I put up a few challenges folks can subscribe to. The idea is that I'll maintain a list of people who would like to be on recurring weekly or monthly (at this point) challenges. Anyone on the list for a particular challenge will automatically be invited to the next challenge.
But you have to get yourself on the list if you want to participate.
Personally, I like the idea of consolodating the challenges so more people can participate in individual challenges without having to scrounge around for invites every week.
So, whoever is interested, check the other challenge threads and get yourselves on the list. And feel free to spread the word, it'd be great to have a nice variety of runners and challenges going.
