Looking for volunteers - Scorekeeper

Hey all,

As we progress from week to week, I would like to keep a record of everyone's results. The results will likely be archived in some fashion on the new site (should be live the end of this week!).

I would like to find a volunteer from each challenge to record the results at the end of the week and send them to me. So we can then view the group's and individuals' progress from week to week.

Let me know if you would like to volunteer.

Run strong,
-Hux

Re: Looking for volunteers - Scorekeeper

Hux,

I'm happy to volunteer for any/all of the challenges I take part in.

How do you think we should record them? The 'Best Time' runs show everyone's time, but the 10 miles, for example, only shows who completes it (I think it is in order of who completes the most miles overall). In the latter case should we just show who has comleted 10 miles?

Also - I think we need to congratulate ourselves on our achievements in Challenges last week - well done everyone! emoticon

BTW RicC you are my target now, you seem to be one of the closest competitors in my time bracket, so be warned you have a target on your back. emoticon

Re: Looking for volunteers - Scorekeeper

I think we should just record the results as they are displayed on the Nike+ site. So, in the distance challenges, just record the order Nike+ displays.

I too am curious about the way they order the results for the distance. I know I was at the top of the board for the 10-mile for a few days, then I was bumped to no. 2. The way I see it, it could be recording one of two ways.

I may go by total distance, so two people that ran more than ten miles, but one ran 21 miles and the other 20, the 21-miler would be at the top.

Or it could be who completes it first, in my case this wouldn't seem right, since I was the first to finish the ten miles--but consider this: What if the person who knocked me out of the no. 1 spot had gone for a run before me, but didn't upload their data until a few days later. How would Nike+ read that? Would it go by run date or upload date?

Lot of questions....

Hey Will - that should keep my pace up! emoticon A little healthy competition is always good. I'm still being frustrated with the Nike+ site not recording my run-times properly (I had Paula Radcliffe congratulating me yesterday but it was not even recorded as my best 5K on the site!).
