One pound = 3500 calories

I read somewhere that in order lose one pound of fat you must burn 3500 calories. I ran 24 miles last week and burned about 3500 calories. Sure enough I did lose one pound. I thought that was great until I realized that I still need to lose ten more pounds. If I do the math I need to run 240 miles to get down to my ideal weight. (And that is on the high side) Well at least the challenges make it more interesting. Keep them coming!

Does that apply even if we continue eating the same diet and amount of food?

I don't even want to figure out how many miles I would have to run! emoticon

I can't wait to see the Burger King commercial:

"Go for a run with the King" emoticon

I have not changed my diet and I don’t run with the King. emoticon (Personally, I prefer Whataburger) However, I did lose another pound and only burned 3000 calories this time.
